One Strange Rock tells the story of how life survives and thrives on planet Earth, as told by eight astronauts. Produced in conjunction with Darren Aronofsky and presented by Will Smith, each episode focuses on one astronaut and one fundamental aspect of life on Earth.
Ollie travelled the globe as an aerial cinematographer on this visually iconic series. From keeping pace with Cheetahs hunting in the arid deserts of Namibia , to intricately threading the needle between the tightly packed skyscrapers of Hong Kong, the stories he helped craft each came with their own unique creative demands. When not soaring above the earth with his drone Ollie was busy working as a technician for the many ground-based gadgets that this innovative series employed. These included Motion Impossible's 'Mantis' camera buggy, DJI's 'Ronin 2’ 3-axis gimbal, and RED, Arri, and Phantom cameras armed with Arri Ultra Prime lenses.
